TASUED Vice-Chancellor Clears Issues On JAMB Cut-Off Mark

Professor Oluyemisi Obilade wrote: The JAMB ADMISSION ISSUE: A NEED FOR CLARITY. Some of us who were physically present at the JAMB Policy meeting owe it a duty to clarify issues and right some wrongs in the reportage of the meeting.  It is a pity that the personality and position of the incumbent Registrar, Prof Oloyede, is being unfairly vilified when he should be commended. These are the facts as observed and as stated to us at the meeting. 1) JAMB was established at the instance of 13 Vice Chancellors some decades ago to stream-line the process of admission and eliminate the duplication of entrance examinations to universities. 2)JAMB, by the edict establishing it, is supposed to confine itself to the conduct of examinations and release of results to the universities. 3) The Senate of each university is then expected to decide on the admission criteria and CUT OFF MARKS. Please note that the Senate of the university is the highest body empowered to make policies /p

Femi Fani-Kayode; An Honest Politician I've Read

"Femi Fani-Kayode: An Honest Politician I've Read" I have always been in doubt wondering if there is any honest politician in this country and just this morning I have found another man in Femi Fani-Kayode. I never wanted to read his last memo on presidency but the dichotomy and exchange of words between him and Femi Adesina is driving my trance to reality. Quite when Mr Adesina was vouching to fight for his employer, Mr Buhari till grave, Fani-Kayode has given him what I think is the best reply. I laughed so hard when I read those lines in FFK write-ups when he said Buhari is reaping from what he had sowed in the early days of his life. When he mocked the ill-health or perhaps death of Buhari as believed by other Nigerians. The way you have highlighted the actions and inactions of Buhari from the days of civil war to how he boycotted our democracy in 1983 down to the contemporary state of the nature got my heart sinking. The long-winded list of the deaths of Christia

ARE WE TRULY LEADERS OF TOMORROW OR LEADERS OF TODAY

*ARE WE TRULY LEADERS OF TOMORROW OR LEADERS OF TODAY* Its so disheartening if the youths/students of 21st century can not be rational, critical and analytical in nature but dogmatic. If I may ask, why should we serve as stooge at the detriment of our future and unborn generations? We are all clamouring to be an agent of change of our society and generation but is so sardonic that we are agent of evil change, I'm stand to be corrected. The old fools ruling this nations takes running the affairs of this country as thug of war by attaining power with all cost which we all say its shouldn't be as we  are to be more realistic, optimistic, reasonable and diplomatic to attain political post without do or die affairs as it was in early 60s till date but it other way round, what a pity... Unionism/Activism as express by various scholars should be an avenue to struggle for same goal with common just, but this philosophy has been deviated from whereby 21st century are seeking a
